Job Description

Fluor is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) professional to lead our HSE function and team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating and sustaining a productive work culture and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and train subordinates on HSE activities, including budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Provide guidance and advice to business lines, project management, and Company organizations on HSE practices and procedures.
  • Make decisions on engineering/scientific problems and methods relating to HSE.
  • Lead the implementation of HSE programs, including project site-based HSE orientation and recognition programs.
  • Run gap analyses to identify and address program gaps.
  • Provide leadership to initiate, foster, and maintain HSE standards and goals.
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • IT Background preferred, will be coordinating the Training Program.
  • Advanced computer and software skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations.
  • Skills demonstrating the capability to run a medium to large project or multi-project site.
  • Proven ability with leadership skills, including mediation skills.
  • High critical thinking/reasoning ability.
  • Effective presentation skills, including public speaking.
  • Expert organizational skills.
