Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant Role:

  • Assist in evaluating clients' daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of their abilities and limitations
  • Assist patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, activities of daily living, and Isokinetic programs
  • Observe patients during treatments and report observations to the Physical Therapist
  • Communicate with staff and other healthcare team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs

Qualifications for the Physical Therapist Assistant Position:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant licensure to practice
