Job Summary

The Crisis Advocate & Counselor will provide critical support services to individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence, including medical and legal accompaniments, crisis intervention, hotline counseling, shelter support, and short-term empowerment-based counseling services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services to individuals in need, including medical and legal accompaniments.
  • Offer hotline counseling and shelter support to individuals experiencing domestic and sexual violence.
  • Provide short-term empowerment-based counseling services, including individual and support group counseling.
  • Assist individuals in obtaining emergency protection orders and provide advocacy services.
  • Collaborate with community resources, law enforcement, and the legal system to ensure comprehensive support for individuals in need.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in providing advocacy, social work, human services, or other supportive services.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel within Dauphin and Perry Counties.
  • FBI, Child Abuse, and State Police Clearances.
