Job Title: Housekeeper

Join the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club team as a Housekeeper and contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and high standards of our facilities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of all club facilities, including restrooms, fitness rooms, dining areas, and event spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Monitor and refresh locker rooms and restrooms as needed, including stocking supplies and cleaning fixtures
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in all member and staff areas
  • Wash, fold, and put away Club towels and cleaning rags
  • Clean light fixtures, ceiling vents, and other high-level areas on a consistent schedule
  • Execute deep cleaning projects according to schedule
  • Use ladders to reach high areas, as needed
  • Use commercial washing machines and dryers
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent in relevant experience
  • Valid Driver License
  • Two or more years' experience in a similar position
  • Ability to work scheduled hours, including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Lifting, bending, twisting, reaching, crouching, and crawling throughout the job
  • Being on your feet for an extended period
