Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Radiology Technologist to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a CT Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures, including CT procedures, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform imaging procedures, including CT scans, to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Ensure patient safety and well-being by following proper protocols and procedures.
- Correlate clinical history with test results to determine the most suitable anatomical posture and position for patients.
- Responsible for the safe handling of equipment and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with patients, mammography staff, surgeons, and radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Transport patients, specimens, and instruments to their proper destinations.
- Responsible for machine and room cleanup after procedures.
- Ensure result letters are printed and mailed in a timely fashion.
- Process laser-printed x-ray film.
- Practice medical and surgical aseptic techniques/procedures.
- Assist in maintaining basic records and reports.
- Assist in maintaining files.
- Assist the mammography supervisor regarding any scheduling conflicts or changes that may arise.
- Assist in training students and ancillary personnel.
- Perform highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination; documents and deviation.
- Interact professionally with patients and families.
- Understand and practice proper use of all equipment, never operating equipment inconsistent with manufacturer's instructions.
- Complete all work before clocking out and leaving, including patient examinations, paperwork, and checking with appropriate personnel and departments.
- Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric, and general population.
- Clean and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Accept and act upon constructive criticism to upgrade abilities.
- Offer assistance and/or instruction to coworkers.
- Participate in community events to help educate patients and the community.
- Demonstrate knowledge of new equipment in the department.
- Adhere to Attendance and Punctuality Policy, which includes reporting to work on time and when scheduled, taking breaks per policy, and requesting time off with appropriate lead time.
- Maintain and is responsible for QA and MQSA data.
- Assist the director with development and implementation of policies and protocols to assure compliance with regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist, or student eligible for licensure.
