University Technology Leader

About the Role:
The University of Wyoming seeks a visionary leader to serve as its Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. This strategic role plays a crucial part in shaping the university's technology vision, ensuring seamless integration with academic and administrative functions, and driving innovation through collaborative partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the university's mission and priorities, anticipating future technological needs, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Leadership and Management: Foster a culture of excellence within the Division of Information Technology, leading a team of highly qualified professionals, and promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Service Delivery: Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality information systems, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient services that meet the diverse needs of students, faculty, staff, and researchers.
- Partnerships and Collaboration: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the university, fostering effective communication, and facilitating cooperation to drive collective success.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering successful IT projects and initiatives.
- Credentials: Master's degree and/or advanced degree in information technology or a related discipline, complemented by relevant certifications or training in areas such as cybersecurity, project management, or data analytics.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams; proficiency in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation; and expertise in IT service management, security, and compliance.
About the Opportunity:
The University of Wyoming offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position includes excellent benefits, including a retirement plan, leave plans, tuition waiver program, and on-campus amenities.
