Job Title: Senior Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Officer to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Senior Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing armed security presence throughout our campuses, assessing threats, and mitigating offenses against public order, life, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide armed security presence throughout our campuses
  • Assess threats and mitigate offenses against public order, life, and safety
  • Investigate incidents and submit thorough reports
  • Coordinate with law enforcement agencies as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of all investigations and situations
Requirements:
  • Valid State of New York Armed Security Guard License (includes firearms training and a valid NYS pistol permit)
  • Active police officer status (New York State) at time of hiring
  • Successful completion of the DCJS Basic Course for Police Officers
  • High School Diploma/GED Certificate
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Valid NYS Drivers License
  • IAHSS Basic Security Certification within one year of hire
  • FEMA Emergency Management Institute courses within 90 days of hire
  • BLS Certification upon hire or within 3 weeks of hire
Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to adverse working conditions, including noise, noxious odors, temperatures, hazardous materials, and communicable diseases.

Physical Demands:

Frequent close eye work, sedentary (sitting), light work (standing, walking, lifting 51 pounds).
