Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Methodist North Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for CT scans, including explaining the procedure and positioning them correctly.
  • Conduct CT scans according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Review and analyze images to ensure they are of high quality and meet diagnostic standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, scan results, and other relevant data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • ARRT-CT certification or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  • Ability to lift and move patients as needed, with or without assistance.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced hospital environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Work with a variety of patients with different medical conditions and needs.
  • Be exposed to radiation on a regular basis, with proper safety precautions in place.
