Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - MRI Technologist

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is a world-renowned pediatric research hospital dedicated to advancing cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases. We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist - MRI Technologist to join our team and perform diagnostic imaging and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations according to hospital and departmental policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine diagnostic imaging and magnetic resonance procedures, ensuring consistency with clinical diagnoses and demographic information.
  • Positively identify patients, obtain written consent forms, and explain procedures to patients/parents before beginning exams.
  • Prepare, position, and monitor patients throughout procedures, initiating venipuncture for contrast media administration as needed.
  • Process and check images/films for quality, selecting images to be sent to the PACS and/or filmed.
  • Maintain equipment, rooms, and supplies in assigned areas, performing quality control procedures daily and as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program required.
  • One year of imaging experience, preferably in X-Ray, CT, or MRI, is necessary.
  • Must obtain MRI specialty registration (R or MR) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of start date.
Compensation:

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $50.50 per hour for the role of MRI Technologist.
