Job Summary

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasound exams, including preparing patients, selecting appropriate imaging parameters, and analyzing results.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound technology, including equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including educating patients about procedures, equipment, and exam protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
