Job Summary:
UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing high-quality images to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient history, physician's orders, and schedules examinations to ensure accurate and efficient care.
- Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
- Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
- Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
- Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
- Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure if required by law.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
