Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join a high-performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a nationally significant and fast-paced cryptographic key management program. The program follows DEVOPS best practices and employs robust development, test, and production environments. Additionally, the program utilizes Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and test automation tools alongside a full suite of team collaboration tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform software development activities as a member of an agile development team, including turning agile stories into implementable concepts, development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in the complex system.
  • Implement robust testing leveraging DEVOPS automation and, where appropriate, use of test automation commercial tools.
  • Develop server-side business logic, client web applications, and user interfaces (UI) using Java, Python, embedded C/C++, Java cryptographic framework, XML, web UI, and special purpose device programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and four (4) to eight (8) years of prior relevant development experience or master's with two (2) to six (6) years of prior relevant development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Java and familiarity with multiple technologies including Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, and Jenkins on Windows platforms.
  • Strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices, including the ability to plan and prioritize personal tasking and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.

Security Clearance

  • Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph to be considered for this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JEE, SQL, application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss), scripting, and high-level requirements management.
  • Experience with Agile teams using Agile Developer practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, Refactoring, and ATDD.
  • Experience with FITNesse, Mockito, Cucumber, Unified Functional Tester (UFT), Selenium, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
