Position Overview

K2 Integrity is seeking a contract AML/Transaction Monitoring Associate to enhance our Financial Crimes Risk Management practice. This remote position involves executing tasks related to transaction monitoring and look-back activities, including but not limited to KYC processes.


Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Engage in projects concerning the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), USA PATRIOT Act, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Know Your Client (KYC), and other relevant regulations aimed at preventing money laundering, fraud, and terrorism.
  • Oversee tasks associated with KYC processes, including drafting case investigations, preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), analyzing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), and referencing Customer Identification Programs (CIPs).
  • Utilize strong analytical and investigative skills to provide a well-supported rationale for decisions made regarding alerts in cases.
  • Conduct thorough transaction analyses during look-back processes.
  • Adhere to established productivity and quality assurance benchmarks.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A four-year college degree or its international equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in AML, specifically in transaction monitoring, look-backs, or KYC.
  • Preferred experience in correspondent banking.
  • Experience in preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) is highly desirable.
  • Strong writing and research capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including pivot tables and charts.
  • A demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
