Job Description:

  • Required experience in airframe stress analysis with a minimum of 5 to 12 years.
  • Must have expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software, specifically CATIA V5/V6/3DX.
  • Must have experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software, including NASTRAN.
  • Must have proficiency in analytical tools or codes, such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Python, Excel, and Visual Basic.
  • Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
  • Experience working with product lifecycle management (PLM) software, such as ENOVIA, to drive product development.
  • Proficiency in engineering design definition, including 2D/3D modeling, requirement capture, and specification development.
  • Product development and detailed finite element analysis (FEA) experience focused on components or systems, including metallic, composite, structural, castings, precision forgings, laminated sheet, tube, or thick composites, additive, elastomeric, or other precision components.
  • In addition, experience with at least one analysis pre/postprocessor is required, including PATRAN, Hyper Works, and Femap.
  • Proficiency in basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering as described above is preferred.
