Job Summary:

As a skilled Airframe Structural Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting detailed finite element analysis (FEA) of complex aerospace structures. Your expertise in NASTRAN and experience with analysis pre/post-processors such as PATRAN, HyperWorks, and Femap will be crucial in ensuring the structural integrity of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product lifecycle management and support manufacturing and testing of components and sub-systems. Additionally, you will participate in research and development to advance the state-of-the-art in structural analysis and design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed FEA of complex aerospace structures using NASTRAN and other analysis tools.
  • Develop and maintain detailed finite element models (FEM) of components and assemblies.
  • Support manufacturing and testing of components and sub-systems, interpreting technical data and assisting in product improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product lifecycle management.
  • Participate in research and development to advance the state-of-the-art in structural analysis and design.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airframe stress analysis.
  • Experience with NASTRAN and analysis pre/post-processors such as PATRAN, HyperWorks, and Femap.
  • Proficiency in engineering design definition, including 2D/3D modeling, requirement capture, and specification development.
  • Experience with computer-aided design or drafting (CAD) tools in preparation of solid models for building FEM.
  • Proficiency in basic office computer software, specifically the Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software such as ENOVIA.
  • Previous experience working on cross-functional engineering programs.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools or codes such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Python, Excel Visual Basic, etc.
