Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both inpatient and consult liaison psychiatric services on the designated hospital campus.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance the management of patients' behavioral health requirements.
- Formulate treatment plans that are behaviorally focused and outcomes-oriented, addressing mental health challenges, functional impairments, and co-occurring disorders.
- Deliver psychiatric care to individuals with complex mental health needs during their medical admissions.
- Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric matters.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent international medical training.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Meet the criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges as applicable.
Physical Requirements:
Medium Work: Lifting weights up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently, adhering to Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy.
