Our services encompass private equity fund administration, advisory firm setups, regulatory compliance, financial controls, and operational support, as well as outsourced CFO/controller services tailored to private equity fund investments.
In this role, you will engage directly with prominent private equity and hedge fund firms in the alternative asset landscape, guided by our seasoned team of industry experts. Your contributions will include:
- Assisting IQEQ client leads across multiple private equity funds spanning diverse industries.
- Coordinating team efforts to meet client expectations and ensuring timely delivery of client obligations as outlined in the limited partnership agreement.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of limited partnership agreements and applying their terms to financial reporting and income/expense allocations.
- Preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, management fee computations, investor allocations, capital account statements, capital call and distribution calculations, cash flow sources/uses, investor notifications, carried interest computations, and maintaining waterfall models.
- Overseeing the distribution of capital call and distribution notifications to clients and investors.
- Reviewing financial statements, accompanying notes, and supporting schedules.
- Managing the year-end process and addressing inquiries from external auditors and tax teams.
- Evaluating operational efficiency and proposing enhancements for process improvement.
- Responding to routine client information requests and fulfilling ad-hoc inquiries as necessary.
- Prioritizing and managing tasks to meet competing deadlines.
- Training and mentoring junior team members.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of both in an alternative asset investment firm and public accounting.
- Strong analytical and technical skills with expertise in accounting and administration for alternative investment funds.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- Exceptional client service capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- High volume of work output with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in preparing subsequent close rebalances and American waterfall models.
- Professional and effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Investran is preferred.
- Experience or interest in managing and training junior team members.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.
