Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU Float Pool team at Texas Health Resources. As a critical care nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of ICU units and provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' need for information.
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
  • Participate in nursing education, research, and innovations in nursing practice.
Requirements
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
  • BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
  • ACLS - within 90 days of hire required.
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 60 days of hire.
  • NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • Current ICU experience strongly preferred.
