POSITION SUMMARY:

The selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive 4-8 week onboarding and training program, which includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service. Upon successful completion, candidates will be positioned as Retail Personal Banker II, equipped with the skills necessary for success in this dynamic role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in a consultative sales approach to develop a detailed customer profile and identify their financial needs.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of retail consumer and small business products/services, recommending suitable solutions.
  • Utilize approved marketing tools to proactively connect with customers and schedule financial review appointments.
  • Focus on cross-selling to the existing customer base while participating in outside sales initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with assigned business partners to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Consistently achieve customer satisfaction and production goals, contributing to overall revenue growth.
  • Guide customer service representatives in the sales and referral process.
  • Promote a positive customer experience through professionalism and a helpful demeanor.
  • Handle customer inquiries confidently and maintain confidentiality in all business matters.
  • Adhere to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, ensuring ethical behavior at all times.
  • Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard processes, managing sourced loans from application to closing.
  • Stay informed on retail procedures to mitigate risks and fraudulent activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A college degree or relevant work experience that provides transferable skills.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Ability to engage in sales activities aimed at acquiring new customers and cross-selling to existing ones.
  • Strong understanding of advanced mathematical functions for analyzing credit and financial information.
  • Professional representation of Fifth Third Bank through appearance and communication.
  • Knowledge of retail policies and procedures to make informed decisions.
  • Registration under the S.A.F.E. Act is required at the time of employment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based in a standard office environment, requiring extended periods of viewing computer screens. Flexibility in scheduling and travel for training may be necessary.
