Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload trucks, inspecting incoming parts for freight damage
  • Move raw materials or finished goods in specified locations of the warehouse
  • Submit and input data via keyboard, barcode scanner, or written sheets to control inventory movement
  • Pull raw materials or finished goods cases using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory transactions
  • Responsible for inventory count and labeling
  • Work independently between multiple warehouses and campuses as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of experience in material handling and forklift driving
  • Ability to obtain FLD certification within 30-60 days of employment
  • Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Experience with handling various sizes of palletized product
  • Required to work 8 hours shift with the ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night shift, on multiple campuses as needed
  • Able to work overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus current Forklift Certification and 4 years of experience in material handling and forklift driving
  • Experience with Clamp, Double fork, and Pull Pack Fork Lift attachments
  • Experience loading and unloading rail cars
  • Experience with electric stand-up lifts
  • Skilled in comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Experience conveying simple requests and needs to coworkers and management
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Skilled in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area
  • Experience with using company resources in a cost-effective manner
  • Experience reading and interpreting documents such as BOL, instruction sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Experience with working in a team environment
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The Forklift Driver will be required to work in a warehouse environment, with exposure to moving parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Compensation

The hiring hourly rate for this position is $27.69. Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
