Rewind Operator

Solenis is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, and we are seeking a skilled Rewind Operator to join our team. As a Rewind Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our production area, ensuring that all materials on your machine are correct according to customer specifications, and producing high-quality products that meet our standards.

• Maintain a clean and organized production area, performing general housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Verify that all materials on your machine are correct and identify products by disposition tags.
• Produce high-quality products that meet our standards, and be held accountable for all products made on your shift.
• Accurately fill out and process required paperwork, and perform hourly quality checks on products.
• Make small adjustments to your machine as needed.
• Ensure your machine is running at optimum speeds at all times.
• Change top and bottom blades, and tweak them if necessary.
• Make adjustments to your machine, including setting plows for folds and adjusting slitters as needed.
• Monitor waste daily and minimize it, reporting high levels to the Production Supervisor.
• Perform some maintenance on the rewinders.
• Provide adequate notice to the Materials Manager or Material Handlers of any changes in jobs, allowing them to set up your machine prior to starting.
• Report any problems or unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor.
• Follow all established policies and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.

• High School diploma
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials
• Basic math skills and ability to read and follow instructions
