KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure adherence to policies and practices that promote the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care across all service environments, aligning with the Agency's mission and compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Lead quality improvement initiatives, including the assessment of outcomes and management reports; review and co-sign service documentation as necessary.
3. Collaborate with the Manager to coordinate client care among Agency personnel, external providers, and family members as appropriate.
4. Ensure that services are effectively integrated to address client needs.
5. Engage in program development to guarantee responsive care.
6. Supervise staff compliance with documentation standards and reinforce the importance of maintaining accurate clinical records.
7. Assist in the management of daily operations and service delivery challenges.
8. Provide direct supervision to assigned staff, including involvement in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
9. Offer professional mentoring to staff, including orientation and training.
10. Coordinate staff deployment in accordance with program requirements.
11. Deliver direct services and backup support for crisis responses and interventions, including after-hours assistance.
12. Participate in special projects aimed at developing new service offerings or technology.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain effective relationships with hospitals, external case managers, and community resources.
2. Provide transportation for clients and program supplies as needed.
3. Participate in community, Agency, and team meetings and training sessions as required.
4. Manage team/program discretionary resources to meet client needs.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
1. Associate's degree with three years of experience in a human services environment; or a Bachelor's degree with two years of experience; or a Master's degree with one year of experience.
2. Experience in a leadership role is preferred.
3. Current licensure from the appropriate California Board may be required for specific assignments.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
5. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written English.
6. Capacity to train, direct, and supervise staff effectively.
7. Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
8. Ability to work with diverse populations and understand their unique challenges.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
2. Ability to assist clients and staff in emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must pass a criminal records clearance as required by licensing regulations.
2. First Aid Certification is required within a specified timeframe if assigned to residential facilities.
3. Proficiency in computer technology for communication and information tracking is essential.
4. A valid California Driver License and reliable transportation are necessary.
