About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sponsored Project Officer II to join our team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our research administration team, you will play a critical role in managing the non-financial aspects of sponsored projects administration for assigned Divisions, Departments, and Programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the non-financial aspects of sponsored projects administration, including Just in Time information, biographical sketches, and progress reports.
  • Lead on internal application process and liaise with business operations to establish Commons IDs, links to organization, profiles, systems access, etc.
  • Train investigators and staff on use of internal pre-award system(s) and serve as the frontline guide and support for faculty and staff regarding grants and contracts management.
  • Assist and advise faculty and staff on all aspects of sponsored projects management, including proposal negotiation, acceptance, and post-award administrative matters.
  • Develop resources to aid faculty and staff with responding to RFPs and performing federal contracts, and maintain records for proposals, just in time requests, and all other aspects of sponsored projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of business, finance, project or related experience, with at least five (5) years of experience preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of principles of grantsmanship/contract management and sponsor proposal and award policies and procedures.
  • Intermediate proficiency using pre-award databases and grant management systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with office software, including Microsoft Office.
