Job Overview

Position Summary:

The CHRIS 180 Migrant Wellness Program offers comprehensive 24-hour support for unaccompanied minors under the supervision of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). This initiative focuses on stabilization, behavioral health support, case management, educational opportunities, daily living skills, and recreational activities, all within a family-centered, trauma-informed framework. The Program Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the program's administrative and operational functions, ensuring compliance and effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all residential staff, providing individual and team guidance to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure adherence to ORR and LIRS policies, as well as state licensing standards.
  • Engage in weekly case staffing and resident meetings to stay informed on treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with Lead Youth Care Workers and House Parents to discuss client care and provide necessary direction.
  • Manage staffing schedules for all residential personnel.
  • Oversee compliance with employee evaluations, leave requests, and financial documentation.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of program operating manuals.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with referral sources and community organizations.
  • Facilitate effective operations through the recruitment and training of new staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
  • Attend relevant meetings to enhance service delivery for unaccompanied minors.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and service availability.
  • Manage federal and program-specific budgets effectively.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for funding opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed on child welfare issues, legislative trends, and best practices.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with contractors and agencies.
  • Monitor financial performance in alignment with agency policies.
  • Explore opportunities for program development and service expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years in program management or licensed childcare program management.
  • A Master's degree in social work or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check is required.

Work Schedule:
This position requires on-site presence with a flexible schedule that may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays, not exceeding 40 hours per week unless otherwise authorized.
