Job Description

The Seasonal Assistant District Manager (ADM) is responsible for providing business leadership development and experience, as well as a deep understanding of critical components of business success, including recruitment and retention strategies, marketing, employee development, operations, training, profitability, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of seasonal team members assigned to multiple retail locations, ensuring efficient operations and maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Lead recruiting efforts, interviewing seasonal employees, and drive the tax education process and team transition.
  • Monitor employee performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems, and partnering with Human Resources on training, development, complaints, and employee relations issues.
  • Ensure all assigned locations meet company standards, including office setup, technology, telecommunications, office supplies, and facilities maintenance, maintaining relationships with property managers and landlords, and working with the District Manager on necessary corrective actions.
  • Continuously build the business by retaining existing clients, attracting new clients, and creating positive brand awareness.
  • Resolve client complaints or answer questions regarding policies and procedures.
  • Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
  • Monitor GL and P&L performance, holding or voiding/rejecting discount reports and productivity reports for assigned store groups, and meeting all assigned district goals, including revenue, cash control, and tax return count.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree or equivalent related business experience, with a course of study in management or tax preparation and/or accounting preferred.
  • 2 years of previous management or supervisory experience, with a passion for leading and inspiring others.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, inspiring out-of-the-box thinking to impact business results.
  • Tax knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and client service skills.
  • Reliable transportation, insurance, and a driver's license in good standing.
  • Proficiency with computer software applications, including electronic mail, internet browser, Dayforce or other HR information system, online time-tracking, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Knowledge in accounting or tax preparation software preferred.
  • Ability to sustain energy and remain available to subordinates during the season, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced working environment.
