Job Title: Automation Developer

Join Saxon Global as an Automation Developer and contribute to the success of our Digital Payments team. As a key member of our team, you will design and implement automation solutions to drive efficiency and quality in our applications.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation, functional testing, and regression testing. You will be responsible for planning, integrating, and executing testing to ensure proper coverage for Rest APIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain automation scripts using RestAssured framework for task delivery, including reports, data management, and environment setup.
  • Collaborate with the Business, BSA, and Development teams in the analysis, review, and translation of User Stories to ensure testability, coverage, and to create and execute test cases for large business initiatives.
  • Create and maintain test cases and test data using test automation tools.
  • Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications.
  • Work with the scrum team on defect analysis and triage.
  • Assign defect severity and manage defects throughout the sprint.
  • Perform all aspects of verification, including integration testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
  • Develop and implement well-defined test automation framework.
  • Creates test status reports from the automation runs via ADO (Azure Dev Ops).
  • Creates test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readiness.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years developing test automation.
  • Experience in building automation script using RestAssured.
  • Experienced working in middleware/REST APIs.
  • Automation experience with industry standard testing/development and quality assurance methodologies and validation processes.
  • Proficient in Azure Devops or Jira with defect tracking, document management, and knowledge base systems.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools Microsoft Test Plans, query experience with (SQL Server) and Internet Technologies (different browsers, HTML, JavaScript, etc.), RestAssured, SOAP UI, Mainframes.
  • Knowledge of ATDD & TDD.
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, preferably Java.
Preferred Requirements
  • Automation experience using RestAssured framework.
  • Experience with Keyword, Modular and data driven framework, performance testing using Jmeter or any other open source technology.
  • Experience in scrum and implementing TDD or ATDD.
  • Preferred individual with testing & agile certification like CSTE, CQAA, ISTQB, PSM, PSD, CSM.
