Position Overview
The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in supporting anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists by ensuring the proper preparation and arrangement of necessary equipment and supplies for surgical procedures. This position also encompasses various responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and organization of essential equipment and supplies for each surgical procedure.
- Demonstrate effective management of technical practices.
- Engage in Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Participate in continuous educational development activities.
- Achieve assigned performance goals.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Minimum: Proficient communication skills in standard English, both written and verbal, to ensure high productivity and efficiency. Ability to write clearly and accurately document information as required for job functions.
Licensure and Certification:
Minimum: BLS certification is required within 14 days of employment.
Special Skills:
Minimum: Successful completion of the Standard Pharmacy Basic Math Exam and proficiency in computer operations.
