Job Title: Medical Director Surgical Oncology Leader

About the Role:

This is a leadership position that oversees the continuum of care for patients undergoing surgical oncology treatments. The Medical Director-Surgical Specialties-Surgical Oncology-Region provides strategic direction, leadership, oversight, and support for a region-wide surgical oncology team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise and lead region surgical oncologists in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based cancer surgery care models to ensure established standards are effectively implemented and monitored across Intermountain.
  • Collaborate with physician and advanced practice providers to coordinate cancer treatment processes and improve patient outcomes.
  • Establish care models that meet the needs of patients receiving oncologic surgery, including supplies and equipment throughout the continuum of care.
  • Lead the process to identify where care should be provided with clinical program leadership and providers.
  • Develop and implement strategic visions for oncologic surgery via telehealth services.
  • Develop a communication process to regularly inform and connect oncologic surgery providers and teams from across the region and across disciplines.
  • Drive results for key performance metrics in oncologic surgery, such as patient experience and CMS metrics.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry trends and best practices.

Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 per year
