Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Eastern Shore Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance duties and repairs on our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance duties and repairs on the facility and equipment, including heating and cooling units, ventilation equipment, and refrigeration units.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair equipment, including making periodic rounds to check equipment and ensuring that necessary equipment is available to perform assigned tasks.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of repair work on equipment and notify the supervisor of equipment and supply needs.
  • Support Services: Assist residents with move-in and move-out, conduct surveillance of property as needed, and submit written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Maintenance.
  • Special Projects: Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years general maintenance experience in an institutional setting required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to move consistently throughout the workday, reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently, and possess the ability to walk, stand, push, pull, bend, lift, and grasp, and possess fine hand coordination.
