Role Summary:
The Renewable Energy Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of a utility-scale solar facility. This role encompasses all essential field activities necessary for the successful functioning of the plant. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the generation facility in compliance with contracts, regulations, and operational plans.
- Leading site safety initiatives and addressing environmental concerns.
- Supervising on-site personnel and subcontractors in their operational duties.
- Coordinating with contractors throughout the execution of work and auditing their safety practices.
- Managing inventory of spare parts and ensuring proper use of facility materials and equipment.
- Monitoring SCADA systems to optimize plant production and track operational metrics.
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure equipment availability.
- Maintaining quality relationships with stakeholders, including clients and local authorities.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and fostering employee development.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Associate's degree in Operations or a related field.
- 3+ years of operational experience in a similar environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently and respond to urgent operational issues as they arise.
