Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at San Ysidro Health Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries by performing radiographic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set voltage, current, exposure time, and distance in accordance with examination specifications.
- Collaborate with care team personnel to provide timely and quality services.
- Review and evaluate computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scans.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of physiology and anatomy to capture proper views of affected areas.
- Assist in identifying problems and submit recommendations to technical supervisors and clinic services managers.
- Interpret statutes, rules, policies, and regulations regarding radiation safety.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records to ensure access to records that facilitate continuity of care for patients.
- Participate in standardizing imaging services policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance in dressing or changing seriously ill, injured, or disabled patients.
- 6-months experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an outpatient setting.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- American Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT) Exam.
- California Radiology Technologist - Radiography (CRT-R) License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Exposed to infection from disease-bearing specimens and patients. Wearing protective personal equipment such as gloves, face shield, lab coats, goggles. Working around lab equipment such as centrifuge and office equipment. Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards.
Universal RequirementsPre-employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre-employment PPDs. Compliance with all mandated vaccinations and all boosters is a term and condition of employment.
