Job Summary

A Commissioning Agent (CxA) is responsible for verifying that electrical systems are functioning in accordance with the design intent and Owner's Project Requirements (OPR). The role involves reviewing training documentation, communicating with clients and engineers, and implementing commissioning procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Review available training documentation and apply it to daily activities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Learn the commissioning process and implement it in the field.
  • Develop commissioning procedures using a template.
  • Become familiar with testing durations to assist with commissioning schedule development.
  • Understand load bank requirement needs to develop a plan for an entire project.
  • Connect and operate PQM test equipment on all types of data center equipment.
  • Execute functional testing with support from team members.
  • Fill in a daily onsite testing log.
  • Perform infrared scanning and analysis, and record data in a spreadsheet.
  • Mark infrared photos.
  • Record PQM data in a spreadsheet.
  • Capture screenshots from PQM software.
  • Assist with report development.
Requirements
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent field experience.
  • General understanding of all mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (percentages and proportions).
  • Understands instructions and can convey information to others in a simple and unambiguous way.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work from home effectively and required travel to project sites 50-75% of the time.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands

Must have a dedicated home office that is conducive to daily responsibilities. Must be able to move about the work area and travel to worksites as needed or required. Travel rotation is 3 weeks onsite, 1 week work from home. If you are local to a job site, you will be expected to work onsite. This is all subject to change based on client and business needs.

Must be able to frequently perform strenuous physical activity including but not limited to: standing for eight or more hours at a time, moving in rugged or unstable conditions, working in adverse weather, handling, or feeling objects, tools or controls which may not be visible, reach overhead. Occasionally may be required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to carry test equipment from 30-50 pounds.
