Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including treatments, under the medical direction of the attending physician.
- Supervise nursing assistants and ensure they follow established standards and policies.
- Develop and update resident care plans, assessing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, maintaining accurate records of medication administration.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in facility surveys and maintain compliance with NYS DOH LTC survey standards.
- Perform administrative duties, such as completing medical forms, reports, and evaluations.
- Completed a practical nursing program approved by the New York State Education Department and a valid NYS LPN License.
- Previous experience in a skilled setting is preferred.
