Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate and assess monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or applicable accounting standards.
- Conduct variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance, identify trends, and suggest appropriate actions.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for both domestic and international entities.
- Assist in the creation of ad hoc financial reports and presentations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring precise and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Oversee internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance internal controls and financial processes.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Work with the finance team to implement new accounting software or systems as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an accounting-related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of experience. A CPA or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software and tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to present financial data and recommendations to senior management.
- Strong collaborative skills in a team environment and effective communication of complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is aligned with the location where the work will be performed and corresponds to one of our three compensation tiers. Base pay is only one component of Mythical's total compensation package, which recognizes employees for their contributions. This role is also eligible for participation in Mythical's Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan.
Compensation Tiers:
Tier 1: $110,000 - $152,000
Tier 2: $99,000 - $136,000
Tier 3: $88,000 - $121,000
Remote Work Availability:
This role is open to candidates in select states on a remote basis.
The base salary for each successful applicant will depend on various factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands. Consequently, the actual salary may vary from this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.
