Registered Nurse

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center. As a Registered Nurse in our Brain and Spine Institute, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care to acutely and critically ill or injured patients with brain, back, and central nervous system disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with varying acuity across the neurological continuum of care.
- Collaborate with families and care teams to build strong patient relationships.
- Participate in training to become a Resource Nurse and serve as a mentor to new staff members.
- Participate in various unit and/or hospital-based committees to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an approved nursing program in December 2024.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure.
- Strongly encouraged to complete life-saving education specific to specialty area.
- Hours: 7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a.
- Hires into an immediate every 3rd weekend, every 3rd holiday rotation. Every other weekend rotation is possible, if desired.
- Additional, elective incentive options include premiums for straight weekends and/or straight night agreements.
The hourly range for this position is $32.00 - $46.50 per hour. Additional, elective incentive options include premiums for straight weekends and/or straight night agreements.
