Logistics Coordinator

At The Lee Group, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team.

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of shipments, receiving, and storing of materials. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Process all outgoing orders, ensuring items are properly selected, inspected, packaged, weighed, and shipped in accordance with customer shipping instructions.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to prepare items for shipment and complete pick sheets and shipment quality control checklists where applicable.
• Verify shipment documents, including packing lists, international commercial invoices, customs declarations, certificates of origin, manuals, and material safety data sheets, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas using handtrucks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
• Sign for, in-check, and verify items, quantities, weight, and terms for incoming motor freight shipments.
• Select and deliver items for production work orders and fill out work order "pick sheets".
• Assist with periodic and annual inventories, counting and recording materials.
• Receive, unpack, in-check, store, and/or deliver all incoming ground and vendor-delivered shipment items.
• Assign warehouse locations, verifying part numbers, quantities, and serviceability.
• Work in an open-air industrial warehouse environment, regularly lifting up to 80 pounds and occasionally lifting, with assistance, up to 150 pounds.

• High school diploma required.
• Current fork truck certification.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred in the field or in a related area.
• Familiarity with computers and materials-related software.
