Position Overview:

The Imaging Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing both technical and non-technical operations within the designated clinical imaging service areas. This role ensures that all testing procedures are conducted efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational standards.

This position plays a crucial role in the formulation of departmental policies and procedures. It is essential that the imaging services staff remain well-informed about the latest imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment functionalities. The Team Leader also contributes to fulfilling the department's business, financial, customer service, quality, and regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages the daily functions of the assigned imaging sections.
  • Develops daily work schedules and assigns tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion of work. Aids the manager in creating schedules and arranging coverage as needed.
  • Proactively takes on departmental responsibilities, especially during staffing shortages.
  • Monitors the efficiency and effectiveness of testing operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards by tracking turnaround times, investigating issues, and implementing corrective measures; oversees inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Adheres to preventive maintenance and quality assurance protocols.
  • Acts as a technical advisor to staff, assisting in the resolution of complex issues and addressing incident reports or patient concerns.
  • Facilitates the achievement of departmental goals through the development, training, and evaluation of imaging personnel; participates in the recruitment process.
  • Recommends improvements to operational methods to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and address challenges.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate degree in healthcare administration or business management.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification in the imaging discipline.
  • Current BLS certification.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business management.
