Environmental Specialist Job Description

As an Environmental Specialist at Flatiron Construction, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects meet the highest environmental standards. Your technical expertise will help us identify and mitigate potential environmental risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing our ecological footprint.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Develop and implement environmental monitoring and reporting programs to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical input on environmental specifications and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community groups, to ensure transparency and cooperation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in environmental monitoring and compliance preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
