Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the State of Colorado. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our roadways and highways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plowing snow, operating heavy equipment, and repairing roadways
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public and other stakeholders
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • At least two years of experience in a maintenance or operations role, preferably in a transportation or infrastructure setting
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brakes endorsement required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
