Job Summary

As a Block Plant Supervisor at CEMEX, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality products while ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a safe work environment. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and train a team of employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of employees to meet the needs of plant operations.
  • Schedule block plant production based on sales and inventory needs.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of plant production equipment to minimize lost production time.
  • Order raw materials to meet production and inventory needs.
  • Implement safe work practices and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain positive customer relations by responding to and resolving complaints.
  • Perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare daily production reports, downtime reports, and other paperwork as required.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a production supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of control circuits, metal fabrication, and hydraulic and pneumatic controls.
  • Basic knowledge of mix design and material requirements.
  • OSHA certification.
Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and working outdoors. Must wear protective equipment while at the location.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform all job functions, including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
