**Job Summary**

B.C. Tree Fruits Ltd. is seeking a skilled Production Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our production facilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Cleaning of production equipment, tools, floors, and surfaces in packing areas and work areas
  • Sanitization of all cleaned food contact surfaces, removal of garbage, fruit rot, and debris
  • Deep cleaning activities
  • Operation of machinery such as belts and rollers for the purposes of cleaning
  • Recording of all activities on Janitorial Logs in a detailed and truthful manner

**Requirements:**

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Physical ability to perform all duties, including heavy labor and sustained strenuous physical activity
  • Comfortable working around moving equipment
  • Approved BCTF Janitorial course and additional courses as needed by management
  • Reliability and above-average attendance
  • Ability to perform tasks to required standards
  • Level 2 First Aid is an asset

**Compensation:**

The hourly wage for this position is $17.51 with a Graveyard Premium of $2.00.
