Job Summary:

Tetra Tech is seeking a skilled Disaster Recovery Case Manager to join our team in Iowa. As a key member of our Disaster Recovery Team, you will play a critical role in providing case management services to disaster victims and assisting them in the recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' disaster-related needs and develop individualized recovery plans.
  • Provide case management services to disaster victims, including answering phone calls and directing clients to the appropriate assistance.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, and community organizations, to facilitate access to resources and services.
  • Assist clients in applying for disaster assistance programs and other financial support mechanisms.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case files and documentation in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge of disaster response and recovery strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to work on site in Iowa and drive during operating hours to visit shelter locations.
  • Social work experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor during incidents.
  • Knowledge of social services resources and support systems is required.
  • Bilingual (preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
