Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Group Exercise Instructor to join our team at the Montclair YMCA. As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will be responsible for leading high-energy fitness classes that promote physical activity, wellness, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead group fitness classes that are safe, fun, and engaging for participants of all fitness levels.
  • Develop and implement creative and effective exercise programs that meet the needs of our diverse membership.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all participants.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to promote a culture of wellness and fitness within the YMCA.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends and best practices in group exercise instruction.
Requirements
  • Must have a strong background in group exercise instruction and a passion for fitness and wellness.
  • Must have a YMCA Group Exercise Instructor certification or be willing to obtain one within the first six months of employment.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
