Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual and automated testing of applications to ensure they meet technical and functional requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and test cases to identify defects and ensure system integrity.
  • Work closely with technical team members and project stakeholders to develop and implement test strategies and test plans.
  • Provide and model positive, professional, and courteous customer service to DHR employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
  • Communicate effectively with Division staff, supervisors, County/Division Directors, department employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience conducting manual and automated testing of large, complex web-based applications.
  • 5+ years of experience testing projects developed using agile/scrum and waterfall methodologies.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing functional and technical requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience participating in code and design walkthroughs.
  • 5+ years of experience with test management.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing requirements and design documents to design, create, and implement test plans, test strategies, and test scripts.
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with technical team members and other project stakeholders to develop test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing test results.
  • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining test documentation and test reports.
  • 5+ years of experience with defect reporting, triage, and tracking.
  • 5+ years of experience with writing, debugging, and executing SQL for verification and validation.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing automated tests with an industry standard automated testing tool.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing performance tests with an industry standard performance testing tool.
  • 5+ years of experience following formal configuration management procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience developing and executing automated tests with Cypress JS.
  • Experience tracking work with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Experience using or testing applications developed in MS Power Apps.
  • Experience working in a public sector.
  • Experience testing enterprise-level solutions.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an IT-related field (or) High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in testing web-based applications.

This is a long-term contract position with potential renewal every fiscal year. The position is located in Montgomery, Alabama, and the candidate must work onsite at the DHR facility in Montgomery. No telecommuting or work from home is allowed.
