Overview

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office, providing a unique opportunity to gain experience in a corporate environment while making a positive impact across the organization and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Underwriting and Portfolio teams in analyzing and underwriting new and existing real estate and ABL transactions, gaining exposure to all elements of deal execution, including initial due diligence and development of Investment Thesis, thorough and thoughtful risk mitigation, detailed financial analysis on historical financial and census trends, analysis of real estate appraisals and ABL field exams, legal negotiations and documentation, and post-closing monitoring of credit performance.
  • Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects, attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events, have a dedicated manager and program manager to help navigate the bank and the internship program, work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions, engaged in many aspects of credit underwriting and portfolio management, and participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls, as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED, currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution, and ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.
  • Preferred qualifications include a 3.3 minimum GPA, strong desire to learn and grow, pursuing a bachelor's degree with a major/concentration in finance, accounting, or economics, possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others, strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, ability to multitask, ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs, and ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
