SST Direct is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical and instrumentation inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Electrical Maintenance: Conduct and document Workplace Inspections, perform preventive maintenance checks, and report findings.
- Work Order Management: Initiate work orders as needed and ensure proper charging of inventory parts through work orders.
- Power Distribution Systems: Maintain knowledge of power distribution systems, install, maintain, and adjust transformers, motors, switches, etc.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and maintain starters, VFDs, and motor control circuits, perform electrical calculations, and use test equipment.
- Conduit and Soldering: Fabricate and install conduit, perform soldering operations, and align electrical motors.
- Control Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot control valves, actuators, and positioners, use precision measuring tools, and navigate the CMMS system.
- Thermography and Hydraulics: Understand thermography, maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and repair cameras and monitors.
- PLC and Sensing Devices: Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and various sensing devices.
- Maintenance Tools: Keep maintenance tools in good condition and possess a complete set of personal hand tools.
- Post-Job Inspections: Perform post-job inspections and operate small mobile equipment.
- Training and Development: Participate in vendor and company-designated training.
- 3-5 years of electrical experience in an industrial setting.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship or technical program.
- Ability to access all plant locations, including heights and confined spaces.
- Work in extreme conditions and lime/mineral environment.
- Perform actions like standing, walking, balancing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
