About the Role

Crown Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optics Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Fiber Optics Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and integrating fiber optics and inner duct cables around airport runways, taxiways, and terminals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle fiber optics and inner duct cables without damage, manage large cable reels, and lubricate cables as they enter the manhole.
  • Assist in overall safety procedures and follow directions and instructions provided on site by team lead and engineer.
  • Have experience with communications and/or telecommunications, preferably with the installation and integration of FAA communication equipment/systems.
  • Have a basic understanding of manual and power tools, and test equipment, such as multimeter, ohmmeter, power meter, oscilloscope, etc., and be able to climb antenna towers 100 feet or greater.
  • Independently recognize problems/issues encountered during installations, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to complete the project.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Required to work in a high-risk environment with active passenger aircraft movement nearby.
  • Able to occasionally perform assigned work under severe time restraints.
