Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics and Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.

Demonstrating technical expertise by implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality is a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and electrical systems, with experience in testing, troubleshooting and repairing complex systems.

Additionally, the candidate should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Test and troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify and repair discrepancies.
  2. Implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  4. Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft systems, including electrical and avionics components.
  5. Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  6. Ensure all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
  7. Comply with company safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Four (4) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC and NCATT certifications preferred.
  5. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and management.
  7. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas and lift up to 50 pounds.
