Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate supplier material delivery to meet essential customer demands.
  • Organize, schedule, and manage purchase orders to guarantee timely material delivery.
  • Address demand-supply discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Issue RFQs and assess supplier proposals effectively.
  • Oversee multiple procurement processes and enhance supplier performance.
  • Source and develop new products to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Establish and nurture supplier relationships to enhance performance.
  • Monitor key metrics such as supplier OTTR, PO acknowledgment, and forecast alignment.
  • Commit to continuous improvement in Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Lead Time.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to fabrication, cost, and scheduling.
  • Provide proactive updates to management and engineering teams regarding critical supply challenges.
  • Initiate negotiations for long-term agreements with strategic suppliers.
  • Manage purchased inventory, including stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement.
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy objects, up to 35 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and customer approval processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge in procurement and sourcing of components and specialized processing.
  • Experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment, including machining, sheet metal, castings, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in dealing tactfully and confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel (Office), including pivot tables and basic formulas.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a demanding environment.
  • Experience with database systems (ERP/MRP/MPS).
  • Well-organized with strong follow-through capabilities.
  • Knowledgeable in lean purchasing and 5S methodologies.
