Job Summary:

As an Emergency Technician at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Ctr-Tarzana, you will be responsible for performing basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care to patients and families of all ages as directed, in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy, scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Emergency Services Nurse Manager, you will work under the direction of Nursing or Patient Care Provider to deliver high-quality patient care.

• Perform basic emergency medical/trauma procedures and patient care to patients and families of all ages as directed, in accordance with physician orders, hospital policy, scope and standards of practice.

• Work in alignment with the mission and core values of the organization, ensuring that all employees are expected to perform their duties in accordance with these principles.

Requirements:

• California Emergency Medical Technician License or California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or California Paramedic License upon hire.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.

• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.

• 1 year of experience in acute care and 1 year of current Emergency Services experience (may be concurrent with acute care experience).
